You’d think that doing a skin post would be easier that doing a post about clothes. And you’d be right. You see, you don’t have to pull an outfit together. You don’t have to find poses that don’t embed bits of your avatar into what you’re wearing. All you have to do is wear the skins and take the pictures.

And despite this, I still find a way to arse it up.

I thought I’d taken enough pictures I liked with the different facial hair options of this new skin from Ispachi. And I hadn’t. And so I have two pictures here with the same one. Damn, blast and buggeration. But I’m sure one or two of the ones I manged to miss will show up in future posts.

Anyway, Johan is the skin in question. It’s new from Ispachi and its released today. Lots of skin tones and lots of facial hair options.

"Culture Shock" will run from May 1st to May 22nd.
All the stores have at least 3 new and exclusive items each - contributing 50 - 100% of their profit to Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).

My inspiration for the collection has been late 60's and the anti-war movement. No other theme seemed more appropriate for a fund raising to support MSF and that period, in my opinion, was one of the greatest "cultural shocks" of the whole past century.

All my items are marked 100L, except the Wild Nature skirt that costs 200L.

Shhh... It's time for popcorn, stories and general mischief!

:D Hello everyone. This weekend brings a new Project Themeory event. The theme guidelines instructed us to "tell a story", in an artistic way. I took inspiration from my childhood this time and made a fun, colorful bunk bed. My sister and I shared a bunk until I was 10 or so, which was truly a multi-purpose piece of furniture. We used it as a life raft for our dolls during imaginary storms and tucked our blankets in-between the upper slats to create cozy fortresses. The bed itself was kind of bland, so I did my own take on it for this event. The Zippy Bunk has now arrived to address the real need for no-sleep, all-playtime beds!

A closer look at the zipper in front. I actually designed these sculpts ages ago for a product I ended up not releasing. I'm glad I was finally able to use them in a new creation, because I do think the mechanism is cute. I had fun fitting the parts together as well, for the blanket fortress. I like the way the fabric falls open right after the zipper slider. It looks quite natural.

A soft pillow on top. The bed has a total of 43 prims, but you could probably do away with a few if you have a limited prim count. The upper mattress has 4 slats for instance and the lower bed a headboard that is not immediately visible from the outside. I like things to look fully functional, which is why I add these little details. (I did not include slats for the lower mattress though, because no one would ever see these.)

Voilà, that is all! :D

You can pick up the Zippy Bunk at my mainstore for only L$75. After this weekend it will go back into inventory, to be reworked for a re-release at full price.

Alabama Tornado Disaster Relief

On Wednesday, April 27th, a wave of tornadoes swept across Alabama, and other southern states, causing devastation and hundreds of fatalities.
Alabama has lost close to 300 people so far to this disaster, and others are still missing.
Thousands of homes have been destroyed, and have left people displaced and struggling to find shelter and even the most basic of necessities.

I know everyone is busy, and coming up with exclusives and organizing all of it takes time. I also want those who are not designers/creators in sl to be able to help as well.
With that being said, we will be holding a yard sale. This will consist of donated items being sold, of which ALL profits will go to the Red Cross 2011 Alabama Tornado Response.
I, Brutus Martinek, will provide full reciept proof that every cent went to Alabama’s local Red Cross.

Donated items can consist of transferable items you have, but don’t want anymore.. or if you are a content creator you may put something out that you have created.
All proceeds from any of these sales will 100% be donated.

If you would like to participate, send me (Brutus Martinek) a notecard with your name, and what you will be donating.
Transferable items you no longer want, content created by you, or both.
I will then send you full information on what the next step will be.

All transferable items will be checked to
