As some of you may be aware of by now, Awesome Blossom is closing its doors on January 15th. It’s been a great 2 year run and I have learned so much through my experience of owning a store in Second Life, but I have some RL changes coming up and the time I will have available to devote to running a store will be more limited.

I wanted to thank you all for your undying support of my store. Having your support as my customers and friends has meant the world to me and I don’t know that I will ever be able to properly thank you all for that. But I’d like to try!

Starting January 1 and running through January 15th, everything in the entire store is 50% OFF! That includes prefabs too! After January 15th my items will still be available on the Market Place at their regular prices. If I ever do get the building bug I will release items there and some might even show up for FREE so make sure you stay in the Update Group, or join it if you aren’t in it already, so you’ll know when that happens! There are group joiner signs located at the front of the Awesome Blossom mainstore.

And finally, while I am closing my store, I am NOT leaving SL completely. I am however looking forward to the relaxing side of SL once again. Thank you again for all of your support and remember…

Awesome Blossom is proud to be a part of this year’s “With Love (Again) Hunt” which runs from December 9th – January 6th. The theme of the hunt is thanking our loyal customers for supporting us throughout 2011 and so my way of thanking you is by making a new skybox.

The Madison Loft Skybox was made exclusively for the With Love (Again) From Hunt and features 2 levels with upstairs loft area, sculpted door and windows, kitchen island and outside lantern. There is also a small room on the main level by the stairs that can be used as a laundry room or storage area, etc. The skybox has worn brick and wood textures with vintage wallpaper upstairs which gives it that worn but loved feel often found in older loft apartments.

This year for the hunt, you’re on the lookout for a red box with white ribbon and a heart inside, which is hidden somewhere inside of the Awesome Blossom mainstore. Inside of this box you’ll find the Madison Loft Skybox and a LM to the next store in the hunt. Pretty easy huh?

Project Themeory is a weekly event where every Saturday at 12:00am SLT a group of designers will place an item corresponding to a theme at the main entrace of their store for 75L, it will remain there until 11:59pm SLT that Sunday, these will be brand new items and only marked down to 75L for those two days. Every week of the month we will feature different designers, different themes, and different items.

The new Afternoon Retreat was made exclusively for Project Themeory and is designed with an open air concept and features walls made of recycled hanging windows, shutters and cloth as well as open walls to let in the warmth and color of the Autumn trees outside. It’s the perfect place to hang out with friends, family or loved ones while enjoying the last of those Indian Summer days.

Royal Living Magazine had great success at our small farm this year! We have grown so many pumpkins we had to hide them around the grid at our friend’s shops! The Witch Hunt is a 10L grid-wide hunt that runs from September 15 through September 30. And no, we’re not hunting witches. That’s just too 1692. Instead, we’re trying to help our neighborhood witches find the hats they’ve misplaced. Good hunters will be able to extract items from the magical witch hats for just 10L, and will be rewarded with harvest or Halloween-themed items from top designers around the grid!

The Beachcomber Living Room is available as a set or for individual purchase and can be purchased this weekend (July 16-17) at the Knitting Circle Bake Sale. After this weekend it will be available at the Awesome Blossom mainstore.

Project Themeory is a weekly event where every Saturday at 12:00am SLT a group of designers will place an item corresponding to a theme at the main entrace of their store for 75L, it will remain there until 11:59pm SLT that Sunday, these will be brand new items and only marked down to 75L for those two days. Every week of the month we will feature different designers, different themes, and different items.

Project Themeory is back (yaay!) and this week’s theme is “Summer Spectacular” and celebrates all things summer-y!

For me, summer conjures up images of sitting out on a porch swing and watching the hustle and bustle as the warm summer day slips into the cool quiet night. Creaky old porch swings with worn but welcoming oversized pillows are the best and I’ve tried to create that with the new Harlow’s Summer Days Swing.

The swing features 6 female and 6 male sit animations as well as 4 couple animations. The swing itself is texture change with light and dark wood options and the pillows are texture change with 6 different options. You can use the swing with the stand (swing and stand are soft-linked so make sure you choose both before moving them) or you can use the swing on it’s own hanging from a porch, etc.

There’s a new addition to Where it Begins! Nestled among weeping willows and cattails and overlooking the lake, The Pixel Bean Coffeehouse is now open and features a peaceful serene atmosphere to hang out with friends, play Greedy, or just enjoy some quiet time for yourself. There will also be live music, poetry readings and more so stop by and join the Pixel Bean group to stay informed of events.

In addition to The Pixel Bean Coffeehouse, the Where it Begins Flea Market has relocated to the other side of the sim and now resides near the Awesome Blossom mainstore. Same great vendors (*Art Dummy!, BeBe DoLL, Berries Inc., Cheeky Pea, Grixdale, sur+, {what next} & Zigana) just in a different location.
