Recently I was requested to pose for a vendor for Fluke poses, however, it was for my male avatar. Poor thing was cooped up in my inventory for a while. So when I brought him out, I figured I should get him some new clothes. I found this awesome mesh suit on marketplace. I’m wearing the slim version of the suit, but there is also a muscular version available. Before purchasing it, make sure to try the demo.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Linden Lab® to create an image with a music theme. I wasn’t sure exactly what to do. Then I remembered this adorable pose I had from Olive Juice and asked Mr. Prad Prathivi to come sit with me. I think this is one of my most favorite pictures that I have ever done, it means so much to me. That’s why I’m so happy that it’s on SecondLife.com today. It’s been a while since I’ve done a male fashion post on my blog so I thought I should bring it back with a bang by introducing you to one of the sexiest men in my friend list. I’ve known Mr. Claudius Fouroux for a few years now and I cannot say that I have ever seen him look anything but completely drool worthy. He may look like a gorean master to you in this post, however, he’s one of the most brilliant male stylists I’ve seen on the grid. Every time I have seen him he always has a completely new look that he’s been playing around with. My favorite was when he had his dreadlocks, I was just swooning! I wish I had taken a pic back then.

Rumor has it that Mr. Fouroux is quite the ladies man, although I haven’t really seen anything to back that up, but I thought I should mention it in any case to make this post more scandalous. Sorry Claud, but you knew I was gonna throw you under the bus when you signed up for this! <3

When Mr. Fouroux is not busy being his incredibly handsome self in SL, I really have no idea what else he does or what his likes and dislikes are. He’s actually kind of a mystery. I know he used to be a fashion blogger back in the day, but I really haven’t seen him doing much lately. Perhaps we should all do some investigating. :P

For today’s male fashion post I got to interview the stylish couple, Gabe Bookmite and Garrett Ceriano. I met and got to know Gabe and Garrett on plurk. Gabe has an innocence about him that is not only lovable but hilarious at the same time. His plurks and responses always leave me giggling to myself. Garrett on the other hand, well I’ll be honest here, he kinda intimidated me at first. LOL But after a while I realized he’s quite a nice guy and not so intimidating. :P

I am happy and delighted to start up my male fashion posts again and boy do I have a bunch of fantastic men lined up to shoot. Today I got to drool over Mr. Bronson Twine.

I remember the first time I interacted with Mr. Twine, he was plurking the words to “The Loco-Motion” and of course I couldn’t stop myself and joined in. But the lyrics to awesome girly pop songs is not the only thing Mr. Twine knows well, he also knows how to create one of the most stylish avatars on the grid. While I was snapping his pictures, I of course could not resist asking him a bunch of questions and admittedly flirting a little. :P

Strawberry Singh: ok so first question is…where have you been all my life? joking (not really)
Bronson Twine: hahaha.

Strawberry Singh: What else do you do in sl? Other than blogging and looking handsome.
Bronson Twine: Very little, really. For quite a while SL has been about blogging and photography for me.

Strawberry Singh: Are you as stylish in your RL as you are in SL?
Bronson Twine: Probably not. I get to wear stuff in SL that I would in RL if I had the money and confidence. In RL I’m pretty much a t-shirt and jeans kinda guy. And I usually am here too.

Strawberry Singh: Is there anything that inspires you to create your looks? Or does it just come to you?
Bronson Twine: Inspiration can come from all sorts of places. Often I can pick op a piece and build an outfit around that. But music is also a major inspiration and I’ll sometimes build a look based on a particular musical style or genre. But mainly it’s whatever pops into my head when I start pulling a look together. Which is always a good thing….

Strawberry Singh: What do you love about SL the most?
Bronson Twine: The people. The creativity. The freedom to look and be whatever you want to on that particular day.

Strawberry Singh: So the next question is for all the girls…are you single? :P
Bronson Twine: Yes. Yes, I am. By choice, though.

Strawberry Singh: Is locomotion your most favorite song ever?
Bronson Twine: It comes pretty close. More songs should have dances that go with them. Closer by Nine Inch Nails is also a favourite. It’s a tender love song.
Strawberry Singh: you know I am gonna write that in the post that you said locomotion is pretty close to your fav song ever
Bronson Twine: I guessed you might. But everybodies doing a brand new dance now….

Strawberry Singh: LOL, so what’s your biggest pet peeve in SL?
Bronson Twine: People who stand at landing points and then yell at you when you land on them is a peeve. Then theres always the eternal issue of bling…

So I tricked another innocent guy to pose for my male fashion posts. :D

Ok fine! I admit that Lulu has been asking me to take his picture for about 6 months now but I was too scared to because HELLO! He is THE LULU JAMESON! I was totally too intimated but then I thought of this evil plan to ask him to be on my blog so I can make fun of him. But I was nice and told him ahead of time about my plan and then he threatened me. YES PEOPLE!! LULU JAMESON THREATENED ME! He is doing a picture of me in return and said he would wait to process it and if I said anything mean he would draw mustaches on me. :(

So you know what that means right? Yup, I’m gonna go ALL OUT! Let’s start with how I actually met Lulu. OH YES! When the talented Miss Gabrielle Sinatra took my picture back in 2008 Lulu was ALL OVER IT flirting with me. But I promised that I wouldn’t link to that picture and embarrass him further. However, I didn’t promise that I wouldn’t link to this picture on my stream. muahaha :D That’s the first picture Mr. Lulu Jameson ever did of me. He was so sweet and shy when I met him that day, it was totally adorable! LOL Then of course, a few months later I ran into him at LE.LOOK! when he was all neko’d out. Look, I have the pic to prove it! :D

So now that I have blogged all of this, I am sure you will be seeing a picture of me soon covered in mustaches, but that’s ok because it was totally worth it! :P

Honestly though, Lulu’s work is incredibly inspiring and he is one of the most sweetest, humble, caring and talented people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He is one of the photographers I look up to and strive to be like.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of having a very interesting conversation with a Linden! I have to admit, Zed Linden is probably one of the most stylish Lindens I’ve seen on the grid. I couldn’t help but to try to persuade him to pose for me for one of my male fashion posts. Lucky for me, I didn’t have to try too hard. He’s very friendly and as you can see from his answers to the questions I threw at him below, he’s also very enthusiastic. :D

So here is my attempt at being a goofy interviewer:

Strawberry: Hi Zed! How long have you been working for Linden Lab and what has your main focus or project been while you’ve been here?
Zed: Hello!  I’ve been a Linden for about two and a half years.  I’m a software engineer, and I mainly work on our websites and web services. Since I started at the Lab, my main focus has been on registration. The latest-greatest version of registration was recently released (Rodvik Linden blogged about it here), and it’s something that everyone involved is really proud of. Go check it out — invite your friends!

I recently switched groups and now I work in our Internal Tools team. This group is responsible for creating the software that our support team uses, so our goal is to help make our customer service representatives more efficient and make people’s lives easier. In the long run, these things benefit every user. My new group is also responsible for JIRA and handful of very interesting applications used within Linden Lab.

Strawberry: You’ve been a Linden for quite some time, but it seems like you’ve just recently and suddenly appeared in world.  Where did you come from?!?
Zed: A few months ago, I realized that for a long time, I had only been logging into Second Life to attend Linden Lab meetings. So, I decided to start logging in and exploring more often.  The first thing I noticed were these amazing men’s fashion blogs like In Cold Blood, Carthalis, (ir)regular guy, SixX, and the F*cking Slipsters.  I was impressed that their styles were all so creative and unique, and their photography made their avatars look larger than life!  These guys gave me something to latch onto and a real motivation to keep logging in.  After a couple weeks of following the blogs and meeting people I was hooked: I fell in love with Second Life and my job all over again.  True story :)

Strawberry: There’s no doubt about it, you are one of the sexiest Lindens inworld. Who or where do you go to for sl fashion advice? Or does it just come to you naturally?
Zed: Ha!  Well thank you very much for the kind words.  I really have no sense of fashion, and in RL I’m a complete mess.  I am somewhat new to the SL world of men’s fashion: I’m still getting my feet wet and I’m figuring out what my style is.  I recently asked a friendly and brilliant blogger for style advice, and his response was “Well, what do you want your style to say?”  This kind of blew my mind, both because I had no idea how to answer, and also because no one had ever asked me this before (including myself!).

Blogs are currently my #1 source of ideas and tips.  When I see an item blogged from a shop I’ve never heard of, I go check out the shop to see what it has to offer.  I also really enjoy hunts, especially the MENstuff Hunt!  And I’m pleasantly amazed at the recent explosion of fashionable charity events, such as Fashion for Life, the Fantasy Faire, and all the fundraisers for Japan — you’re doing a very noble thing: please keep up the great work!   I love exploring and finding new places, and I love chatting up designers.  I’m really impressed with the variety and creativity that I find when I’m out and about.

Strawberry: What are some of the new and upcoming things (viewer updates, events, etc…) that the Lab has planned that you are pretty excited about?
Zed: There’s a lot of great stuff coming up for everyone in Second Life! There are new features and Viewers – the Environmental Settings Project Viewer is out now, we’ve just launched the new official SL Viewer with better search and real-time shadows, we’re continuing to make enhancements to SL Viewer Basic Mode, and mesh import is coming this summer – to name just a few things. And there are some great events coming inworld (SL8B kicks off June 20) and in real life (SLCC is August 12-12). As always, the best place to find out about all the exciting things as (and before) they happen is the official Second Life blog.

I’ve blogged Tableau Vivant before they opened up their doors, well now they are officially open. I can’t stress how amazing everything is. At the moment they have gorgeous props, poses, tattoo makeups, clothing and much much more. I took ManBerry for a walk in Old Italy today. People always ask me where I find the sims I shoot at so I thought I would share some of my secrets:

1. Mademoiselle Eve’s blog – It’s in French so I admit to not really reading the content but I do drool over her creative pictures and steal the slurls she always lists at the end of her posts. She finds the most amazing places.
2. Avatars in Motion – A Travel Blog! You rarely see any avatars in this blog, but what you will see are gorgeous images of some of the best places to explore in Second Life.
3. The Beauty of SL – Another great travel blog with beautiful pictures.
4. Cajsa Lilliehook’s Landmarks in a Notecard – The generous Cajsa Lilliehook has shared a wonderfully organized notecard of landmarks which can be picked up at this slurl.
5. SecondLife Art & Entertainment – A great blog run by a bunch of very talented individuals who also have a group inworld by the name of Just Art.
6. Honour McMillan’s blog – Another wonderful and very thoughtful travel blog which I also enjoy. Honour is also currently working on a project for SL8B and has asked for our help, all the details in this post.
7. Places on Koinup – GeoTagging the Metaverse – The Places Project is a collection of slurls and locations posted daily by Koinup members.

So this is not your typical fashion post (when did I really do those anyways? :P) but once I put this character on, I couldn’t stop myself. I had no intention of blogging today and in fact I am so behind in my client photos (sorry clients) but I was quickly looking for something in my horribly disorganized inventory when I landed on this roughneck folder and I thought to myself…what on EARTH is this and where did it come from? So what did I do? What I ALWAYS do cuz I’m quite the lazy butt, I right-clicked the folder and clicked “replace current outfit.” There were just so many items in the folder I didn’t want to go through each thing because I was in such a rush. But was I ever surprised when almost everything changed about me: my shape, skin, clothing, everything. All of a sudden I had transformed into this amazingly detailed and realistic character that I just didn’t feel like taking him off at all.

I can’t even imagine the thought process and the amount of work that went into him. This whole look comes together in one package at Deco and it’s called the Roughneck Avatar. He comes with the shape, skin, boots, jeans, dirty tank, jacket, gloves, cig, goggles and a drink container. Of course you can mix and match your shape, skins and items but I just wanted to show this avatar completely so you can get the idea. Deco has some amazing work they’ve been currently releasing. Also please note that I have barely photoshopped these pictures, just very slightly. I have shot the pictures at the AM Radio build with the trains (one of my favs) and I have used my Emerald windlight setting.

Gahum is evil. Thank you, that is all.

Ok but srsly I first noticed Gahum a few years ago on plurk and I found him to be really funny and bratty. Then I heard him on voice inworld and I just fell in LOVE! I offered to have his babies and even dump Mr. Revolution for him but he refused and said and I will quote: “I don’t like the vaginas.”

So then I was like well excuuuuuuuuuuuse me for having a VAGINA! SRSLY! So then I made him into my pretend sl brother and he does what all brothers do well, he tortures me at every given opportunity. Any time he can, he will come into my plurks to harass, torment or just call me mango! So as you can see folks, he’s a big time pooface and I really can’t stand him! I hate him almost as much as I hate Mr. Jefferson…or perhaps the same, which I thought would be quite impossible.

While I was shooting his pictures I tried to make him look as ugly as possible but it was kinda hard. These pictures were taken on his home sim where he’s done quite a bit of beautiful landscaping. Gahum seems to have quite the green thumb and is always plurking about gardening in RL and then occasionally he’ll plurk about really random and obscure flowers and plants sharing all sorts of details about them while I sit back and laugh at his dorkyness.

A few things I DO like about Gahum is his straight-forward honesty. He’s also got this “don’t really care what you think or do” attitude which I just love about him. He does his own thing and he’s quite the force to be reckoned with. He’s also extremely intelligent.

BTW, why are so many hot and smart guys gay??? WHY??? What’s wrong with vaginas DAMMIT?

We are full swing into spring now and I am just loving the Florida weather. Perfect timing for this warm weather, Zaara has released the first of her spring collection. These stylish shorts will add a lot of flair to your beach attire with their sculpted belt and cuffs that give them a flared look. I really love the attachments on these shorts because they are so AO friendly. Usually when I’m walking around in shorts with prim cuffs, they end up going right into my somewhat big but lovely butt. But not these babies, they always look spectacular.

I’m also a big denim girl and what’s better than going for a long walk on the beach with your significant other wearing your favorite jeans. Ladies who Lunch just released these fabulous jeans for the boys and the girls. Lots of cuff options are available for these as well as sculpted belt and pocket attachments. It’s a very well thought out design with excellent texturing so make sure and check it out.

Mainit Hellman is probably one of the most sweetest and caring men you will meet in your SL. I’ve known Mainit on plurk for over 2 years now and one thing I’ve noticed about him is that he is very passionate. He’s passionate about everything he does in his life, be it SL or RL. And if he loves you like a friend, he’ll stick by you through anything. I know that one day he is going to make a very lucky girl extremely happy. Unless he already has because I kinda forgot to ask if he’s single, my bad….sorry ladies. :P

I know I’m gushing over him a little bit, but honestly he’s just full of sugar. But not only is he very sweet, he’s also quite talented. He creates incredible skyboxes, adorable little home furnishings and so much more. His store is called Baustein and you can check out the blog for more details.

One thing I love about Second Life is that you can be whatever shape you want to be. But I do have my days where I look at my shape and think hmmmmmm… are my hands massive? Are my arms too short? Is my head gibungus? Should I make myself taller? I suck at making shapes myself cuz I don’t think I’m very good with proportions (Mr. Revolution made these beauties for me) so I thought I would give you guys my digits and see how I compare and what everyone thinks is the “norm” (if there is such a thing?) I’m not talking about skinny, fat, big-boobed, big-assed, or even height for that matter. I’m actually just talking about proportions and if mine actually work.

A few things I do like about my shape: I seem to fit well into many different poses, I never have to adjust any Truth hair for my head and all prim nails usually fit me perfectly. So I’m not sure if I actually want to change my shape at all, I’m pretty happy with it. I just want to compare numbers and see what the average is and what people normally lean towards. So if you are willing to share your digits, please do. Leave them in the comments or do your own post about it. I would love to see all the varying avs.

I’m doing it for both of my avs because I always feel like my male av’s hands are really big and I actually recently made them a lot smaller but you guys tell me what you think. I’m just going to share a few of the digits, not everything! :P Here goes…

Okay, so I know I said I was going to blog a neat new gadget soon but to be honest I haven’t had the chance to get to it yet so I thought I’d throw these up here for now. It’s not every day I can convince Mr. Revolution to pose with me. Normally it takes a lot of begging, pleading and sometimes threatening (although I think he rather enjoys that). But I did convince him to actually change his clothes and sit on the ball quietly for a few minutes. Of course what did he do then? HE WENT AFK!
